Formerly Heirloom Kitchens, HK is a premium nationwide kitchen manufacturer based in Tauranga. We worked with them on a modern rebrand, designed to reflect their shift from being ‘the builder’s choice’ to being everyone’s choice.
Feelgood Kitchens
We spend so much of our time in the kitchen – which means it can have a big effect on our wellbeing. We developed a strategy around the idea that a well-designed kitchen actually makes you feel better about life.
What’s in the box?
We wanted to create a simple mark that could be interpreted in many different ways for the viewer – echoing the flexibility of an HK kitchen. Our logomark is modern and design-led, just like HK.
Colour that feels good
A sunny and optimistic colour palette creates an inviting brand language and feelgood factor. Bold, vibrant contrasts combine to create a colourful and flexible identity system that works across every touchpoint.
Capturing the little moments
Kitchens should always look lived in, which means featuring people – so our photography highlights the relatable shared moments rather than focus on empty rooms. It’s about being vibrant and people focused, paired with close ups of finer details.
Moving blocks
We developed a grid-like, flexible identity system that reflects the box-like approach to designing a kitchen. The two rectangle shapes within our logo can also be used to house imagery and bring personality into the brand.
