Cellora is a forward-thinking company developing eco-friendly alternatives to synthetic chemicals and pesticides. We partnered with their New Zealand-based team to build a brand that reflects a new way of growing and living, where food and fibre production is in harmony with nature.
A living name
The name Cellora is inspired by a commitment to improving the world around us. It is based on the relationship between ‘cell’ (the basic unit of every living being) and ‘ora’ (te reo Māori for being alive, healthy, safe and well).
The cell. The sun. The mark
Cellora’s logo is a mark of balance and harmony. Starting with the circular shape of the cell, sun rays are integrated to create the harmonious effect of yin and yang.
Inclusive. Empowering. Inspiring
Cellora has a powerful story to tell, so it was important to find the right voice to do it justice. We focused on speaking in a way that felt inclusive and approachable, motivating and thought-provoking.
Colour that moves
Our colour rationale is all about referencing the landscape, while dialling up the tones to be vivid with strong contrasts to create a more scientific aesthetic. Gradients are used to create interest and reflect the movement of a living cell.
The picture of health
Brand photography visually tells the story of the brand, illustrating a diversity of people, places and industry. We used a documentary style, with tones that are vibrant, fresh and healthy.
